Job summary

Stanford University in Palo Alto, CA seeks a Clinical Research Operations Assistant Director (CRC3) to provide operational and scientific leadership for the Immune Behavioral Health/ PANS Research Team. You will oversee databases, biorepository, data quality, and study operations across current and future sites.

The role requires strategic planning, budget management, and collaboration with investigators; responsible for regulatory compliance and manuscript support.

Qualifications

• PhD or advanced degree in neuropsychiatry, immunology, epidemiology, or a closely related field.
• Four or more years of relevant experience and training in clinical research.
• Doctoral-level training in clinical research, epidemiology, biostatistics, public health, psychology, or related field.
• Prior experience directing projects in clinical research including supervising staff, directing SOPs, and managing data/biobanking.

Responsibilities

• Oversee subject recruitment and study enrollment goals; promote/recruit participants and retain in long-term trials.
• Monitor and oversee data management; develop systems to organize, collect, report, and monitor data; analyze data.
• Develop project schedules, targets, and accountability; lead team meetings and document minutes.
• Supervise staff or students; hiring, performance management, coaching, and training; assist with evaluations.
• Audit operations for regulatory compliance; oversee IRB submissions and respond to inquiries; lead quality initiatives.
• Collaborate with investigators and sponsors; monitor adverse events; analyze results to guide recommendations.
• Lead improvements to policies and processes; define best practices.
• Develop study budgets and track milestones; manage contracts and post-award deliverables.
• Ensure regulatory compliance; inspect documents; coordinate IND submissions and IRB renewals as needed.
• Assist with grant development; contribute to publications and consensus projects; summarize data for grants.
