Job summary

Stanford University’s Department of Dermatology seeks an Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator (ACRC) to support data collection and coordination of clinical studies. This hybrid role requires at least three days in the office weekly at the Redwood City Campus, reporting to the PI and clinical research manager.

The position emphasizes independent work, teamwork, rigorous data handling, and proficiency with medical terminology, office software, and AI tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with educational background in medicine and/or scientific field (biological sciences, social sciences, etc.).
• Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of a project.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively in a team environment.
• Ability to balance multiple projects and timelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency using computers and AI tools in an administrative setting.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and/or call subjects for appointments and reminders.
• Prepare, distribute, and process questionnaires.
• Assist with regulatory documents; maintain forms and subject logs.
• Screen, recruit, and obtain consent from study participants.
• Review medical records and conduct interviews to gather data.
• Administer questionnaires and tests; code data for entry.
• Extract data from source documents and complete case report forms.
• Perform basic measurements and tests (vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG) after training.
• Prepare, process, and ship specimens; order and maintain equipment.
• Process study compensation payments and post-study duties.
