Qualifications

• Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Stable work history in the fields of counseling or criminal justice preferred.
• Two or more years of lead counselor or clinical supervision experience.
• Associate’s degree in applied science, science, criminal justice, social work, behavioral science or a closely related field preferred.
• Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor in the State of Texas.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Treatment and Education in evaluating, scheduling and supervision of clinical staff.
• Maintain a hybrid schedule with in-office presence three days per week.
• Maintain a modified counseling caseload and communicate progress in interdisciplinary meetings.
• Ensure staff comply with policy, procedures and state regulations for treatment programs and documentation.
• Assist with quality assurance to coordinate regulatory compliance (federal/state/local).
• Assist with evaluations for counselor interns by observing sessions and completing forms.
• Coordinate requirements for outside agencies including pre-trial, parole and probation.
• Perform educational classes as needed and maintain accurate records and reports.
• Provide overflow counseling duties when needed due to staffing changes.
