Job summary

Sentara Healthcare Inc. seeks a Clinical Dietitian for outpatient rehab therapy centers in Gloucester and Coliseum (Hampton). The role offers hybrid work with on-site days split between locations and remote flexibility.

The position is full-time, day shift with excellent benefits. Responsibilities include nutrition assessment for acute and chronic diseases, counseling, culinary nutrition, outreach, and care planning in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Registered Dietitian (RD) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• BLS is required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
• If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an ACEND accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.
• NBCOT certification is required within 6 months of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutrition and manage outpatient patient care.
• Provide individual and group counseling.
• Engage in culinary nutrition, community outreach and public education.
• Collaborate with providers and healthcare team for referrals and rounds.
