Job summary

RD Nutrition Consultants LLC in Akron, OH is seeking a Clinical Registered Dietitian for a part-time hybrid role. You will conduct nutritional assessments, develop care plans, educate residents, and collaborate with the care team across CMS and DOH guidelines.

This position offers flexibility with 20 hours per week and a mix of on-site and remote work. Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's in Dietetics, registration with the CDR, and state licensure (Pennsylvania license requirement

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Dietetics or related field.
• Registered Dietitian with CDR certification.
• Current Pennsylvania state licensure/certification as required.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Skilled nursing or long-term care experience preferred.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, and care teams.
• Ability to apply critical thinking for improvement plans.
• Familiarity with nutrition care regulations and CMS/DOH.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nutritional assessments for admissions and quarterly reviews.
• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized nutrition care plans.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists and care team.
• Ensure compliance with CMS/DOH regulations.
• Monitor weight changes weekly or monthly and identify nutrition needs.
• Support quality improvement initiatives in nutrition care.
• Conduct monthly kitchen sanitation audits and document findings.
• Review and approve menus semi-annually to meet guidelines.
• Perform other tasks within scope of practice as needed.
