Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Customer Service Representative to support a fast-growing, technology-driven organization in the insurance and financial services industry. This role is ideal for an energetic, detail-oriented professional focused on delivering exceptional client experiences while supporting annuity and life insurance products.

Local to Durham, NC, with a hybrid onsite schedule (3 days per week).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or relevant customer service experience.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Ability to multitask and pass call simulation testing.
Experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems.

Responsibilities

Manage client correspondence via phone, email, chat, and text with professionalism.
Respond promptly to client needs and resolve requests with minimal escalation.
Process service requests including withdrawals, surrenders, ownership updates, and beneficiary changes.
Explain contract benefits and provide information on products and processes.
Build and maintain client relationships and retain business against competitors.
Maintain knowledge of products, procedures, and business rules.
Provide technical support for digital platforms and online tools.
Collaborate with team and leadership for high-quality service delivery.
Promote digital solutions and improve client experience processes.
Communicate developments and escalations to management.
