Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred.
• Minimum 7 years' experience handling medical professional liability claims required.
• 2–5 years' management or mentoring experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Oversee development, integration and implementation of departmental objectives.
• Oversee investigation, evaluation and resolution of medical professional liability claims.
• Identify potential high-severity claims and provide active oversight.
• Audit claim files to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct monthly reserve meetings.
• Provide timely reporting to the Director of Claims and present materials to the Board-level Claims Committee.
• Coach, train and mentor staff, including in negotiating favorable resolutions.
• Lead weekly team meetings and delegate authority appropriately.
