Progressive Insurance seeks a claims adjuster trainee to help customers recover after accidents. You’ll learn to manage a full claims load over the phone, with support from a collaborative team and leaders during a structured training program.

This hybrid role requires you to work in-office two days per week and remotely the other three days for 12 months, with future in-office meetings as needed. Reside within 25 miles of the Tarrytown NY office.

Qualifications

• Three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage
• Determine liability (who’s at fault for the damages)
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims
