Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster trainee in Charlottesville, VA. You will learn to help customers get back on the road after an accident, building relationships over the phone, and managing a full case load from start to finish.

The role is hybrid—in-office two days and flexible days for the other three, with 12 months of training and coaching from leaders. After training, on-site meetings and collaboration increase as needed.

Qualifications

• Must-have qualifications: three years of work experience OR
• Bachelor’s degree OR
• Two years work experience and an associate degree.

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage for claims.
• Determine liability and fault for damages.
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses.
• Partner with appraisers/estimators to manage vehicle repairs.
• Negotiate with customers and other insurance carriers and resolve claims.
