McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Assistant in Temple, TX. This hybrid role requires four days in the office and one remote day, supporting product liability, property damage, workers’ compensation, and other insurance-related claims with administrative excellence.

You’ll handle correspondence, maintain files, prepare reports, and assist with payments and data entry while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and data entry.
• Ability to type 55+ words per minute with accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Insurance claims or administrative experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the Claims Department and coordinate meetings and travel.
• Respond to calls and emails, delivering professional customer service.
• Process product liability and property damage claims from start to finish.
• Maintain claim files electronically with accurate documentation.
• Transcribe statements and prepare claim correspondence and reports.
• Generate period-end and other required claims reports.
• Assist with claim payments, Oracle interfaces, and check requests.
• Enter and maintain claims data in internal systems and external databases.
• Support workers’ compensation claim administration and setup.
• Prepare regulatory and compliance reporting.
• Manage mail distribution, shipments, file retention, and inventory.
• Participate in special projects and collaborate with internal teams.
