Job summary

OMS National Insurance Co. is seeking an Associate Claims Analyst in a role that supports insureds after incidents are reported. The position focuses on investigation, evaluation, and timely communication to advance pre-litigation claims toward resolution.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 1–2 years in law, insurance, medical, or claims management. A hybrid work schedule is offered along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; may consider demonstrated equivalent professional experience.
• 1-2 years’ experience in the legal, insurance, medical, or claims management field, preferred.
• Working understanding of medical records.
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Conduct claim investigations including assessment of policy coverage and evaluation of liability, causation, and damages, moving claims towards resolution.
• Communicate with insureds, claimants, and attorneys, including timely updates on claim status and resolution.
• Assist insureds with inquiries prior to or in lieu of formal claim handling.
• Maintain timely and accurate claim file documentation.
• Review medical and dental records to evaluate claims.
• Prepare case summaries and present claims for committee meetings.
• Set timely indemnity and expense reserves.
• Prepare settlement authority requests and conduct settlement negotiations when appropriate.
