Job summary

Howden Group in Charlotte, NC or Costa Mesa, CA is seeking a Claims Administration Representative to join the Claims Operations team. The role handles FNOL and core claims processing, supporting west coast clients and coordinating with carriers, brokers, and internal partners on a hybrid schedule.

You will maintain accurate claim files, monitor milestones, report on trends, and help drive process improvements while adhering to regulatory standards and service levels.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance claims handling experience.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and claims lifecycle.
• Ability to independently manage a portfolio of claims.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
• Strong communication with clients, carriers, and internal teams.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Experience interpreting policies, regulations, and internal controls.
• Cross-functional collaboration, including offshore teams.
• Mentoring and sharing knowledge with teammates.
• Proficiency with Applied Epic and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Process FNOL submissions and establish accurate claims.
• Resolve routine inquiries and maintain high service standards.
• Maintain complete, accurate claim files for compliance.
• Monitor activity and provide status updates on claims.
• Coordinate with adjusters, carriers, brokers and internal teams.
• Respond to urgent requests and high-priority matters.
• Support claims projects and process improvements.
• Adhere to procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Build relationships with clients and partners.
• Report KPI and financial data.
• Conduct periodic audits and data verification.
• Prepare data visualizations for management.
