Job summary

Howden is recruiting a Claims Administration Representative to support FNOL entry and core claims processing in a hybrid role based in Charlotte, NC or Costa Mesa, CA. The role connects offshore and on‑shore teams, ensuring accurate records and timely resolution for West Coast clients, with a 10:00 AM–6:00 PM EST schedule.

The position requires 2+ years in insurance claims, strong analytical and communication skills, and experience with agency systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of insurance claims handling experience, preferably within a brokerage or agency environment.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles, policy coverage, and the end-to-end claims lifecycle.
• Ability to independently manage a portfolio of claims, prioritize competing demands, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills, with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and develop effective solutions.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain productive relationships with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and process FNOL submissions, ensuring accurate establishment of claims.
• Provide timely support for claim and account-related inquiries, resolving routine issues.
• Maintain complete, accurate claim files and records for compliance and audit readiness.
• Monitor claim activity and milestones, prepare reports on trends, aging, reserves.
• Coordinate with adjusters, carriers, brokers, and internal teams to progress claims.
• Identify and escalate complex issues to appropriate stakeholders.
• Support claims projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
