Job summary

Progressive is hiring a claims adjuster trainee in Iowa for a hybrid in-office/remote schedule. You will learn to handle a full case load, determine coverage and liability, interview stakeholders, and coordinate with appraisers to resolve claims.

Training includes in-depth insurance policy education and structured coaching. Salary after training ranges from $54,000 to $57,500 per year, with an hourly pay rate during training and a potential gainshare incentive.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of work experience or a Bachelor's degree required.
• Two years of work experience plus an Associate degree acceptable in lieu of a Bachelor's.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for phone-based service.

Responsibilities

• Determine coverage and liability for claims.
• Interview customers, claimants, and witnesses.
• Negotiate with customers and other carriers to resolve claims.
• Manage vehicle repairs with appraisers/estimators.
