Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil Project Engineer / Project Manager for Water/Wastewater in Atlanta, GA. Lead design, coordination, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment facilities, distribution, and rehabilitation.

The role blends hands-on engineering with project management, offering hybrid work from The Battery Atlanta and opportunities to mentor engineers and work with municipal clients on sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration or ability to obtain.
• Minimum 5 years of municipal water/wastewater design experience.
• Experience with water distribution, wastewater systems, pumps, and treatment facilities.
• Experience with hydraulic calculations and design documents.
• Familiarity with regulatory permitting requirements.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage deliverables.
• Strong written communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design for municipal water and wastewater projects.
• Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and resources.
• Provide technical guidance and reviews of drawings and specs.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, and permit applications.
• Support design development through final design and construction.
• Act as technical lead for client interactions and approvals.
• Oversee field investigations, RFIs, and submittals.
• Mentor junior engineers and designers.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to resolve issues.
• Assist with project pursuits and proposals.
