Jobot is hiring a Civil Litigation Defense Attorney in Philadelphia, PA, offering a hybrid work arrangement and permanent employment. This role focuses on defending clients in civil matters across New Jersey and Pennsylvania, with extensive courtroom appearances, motions practice, and depositions.

The successful candidate will handle diverse civil litigation matters, develop litigation strategies, and work collaboratively with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to achieve

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to New Jersey Bar and Pennsylvania Bar.
• Minimum 3 years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Experience in insurance defense and commercial litigation.
• Proven trial experience in the courtroom.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in all stages of civil litigation, including pre-litigation, discovery, motions, trials, appeals, and settlements.
• Develop and implement litigation strategies for complex civil matters.
• Conduct and defend depositions.
• Represent clients in court, including oral arguments and presenting evidence.
• Draft and argue motions (dismiss, summary judgment, motions in limine).
• Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Negotiate settlements.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and staff for case management.
• Maintain professional growth through seminars and affiliations to stay abreast of developments.
