Job summary

Jobot is seeking a civil litigation defense attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join our growing team in Providence. You will handle a steady pipeline of general liability and insurance-related matters with direct client interaction and hands-on case management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation defense experience.
• Active MA or RI bar admission (or ability to waive).
• Strong writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload from inception to resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Appear in court for hearings, conferences, and other proceedings.
• Prepare matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial.
• Communicate directly with clients, carriers, opposing counsel, and the courts.
• Develop case strategy and provide analysis on liability, damages, and risk exposure.
• Partner with other attorneys and staff to drive efficient case outcomes.
