The ideal candidate has 3+ years of civil litigation experience, strong writing, and is admitted to the Virginia Bar (or eligible).

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience drafting and arguing motions (dispositive and procedural).
• Proficiency in legal research for case law, statutes, regulations.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Experience appearing before state and/or federal courts.
• JD from an accredited law school and active Virginia bar admission or eligibility.
• Strong writing and client communications with ethical integrity.
• Willingness to work in hybrid environment in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities

• Assess cases and manage pleadings, motions, discovery, and trial prep.
• Conduct legal research and draft/argue motions.
• Take and defend depositions; communicate with courts, opposing counsel, and clients.
• Develop case strategy, assess risk, and advise business clients.
• Collaborate with colleagues on complex disputes.
