Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic Civil Engineering Intern to join our Jacksonville team.

This hybrid internship offers opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students to learn and contribute on meaningful projects, with at least 3 days per week in the office. The role supports design work from conceptualization through completion, with exposure to AutoCAD/Civil 3D among other tools, and a path toward professional licensure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university or equivalent.
• Preference for candidates able to commit to at least 3 months and participate in the internship for at least 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address issues and ensure project success.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform design.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Develop engineering designs using AutoCAD/Civil 3D and related software.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards on assigned projects.
