Job summary

STV is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern in Atlanta, GA. This hybrid position requires at least 3 days in the office and offers an opportunity for undergraduate or graduate students to learn from experienced professionals on meaningful projects.

The role supports design and analysis using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Open Roads Designer, with exposure to feasibility studies, site investigations, and client interactions.

Qualifications

• Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills beneficial.
• Experience with civil engineering software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring standards compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and agencies to address project issues and ensure success.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform design.
• Assist in preparing technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Develop engineering designs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other tools.
• Learn and apply current standards and procedures to assigned projects.
• Assist with preparation of technical proposals and project documentation.
• Support supervisor in other tasks to meet goals.
