Job summary

STV Incorporated in Atlanta seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience on meaningful infrastructure projects. The hybrid role requires three office days per week, with preference for a 3+ month, full-time internship that offers learning, mentorship, and exposure to real client work.

You'll support design, analysis, and documentation, using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related tools while aligning with regulatory standards and STV's collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
• Preferred knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or Open Roads Designer.
• Hybrid position requiring at least 3 days per week in the office; internship preference for at least 3 months and full-time commitment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in design of civil engineering projects from concept to completion while meeting regulatory standards and project specs.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues and ensure project success.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform project design.
• Prepare technical reports and development proposals; work with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures to assigned projects.
