Job summary

Parkhill in Arlington, Texas is seeking a professional civil engineer specializing in site development to join our team. This full-time, exempt role offers the opportunity to enhance design skills across Parkhill’s diverse site development projects.

You will lead engineers and technicians, manage client relationships, and coordinate with city departments on zoning, permitting, and infrastructure design. A Texas-registered PE and 4 years’ experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
• Texas Professional Engineer registration is required.
• 4 years of experience in the responsibilities listed.
• Experience with entitlements such as Platting, Zoning, and Municipal Permitting is desirable.
• Experience with Site Planning and Development Master Planning is desirable.
• Grading and Drainage Design, Street and Alley Design, Site Design, Water and Wastewater Design, Hydrology and Hydraulics Analysis and Design are desirable.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with clients, staff, municipal authorities, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and management of engineers and technicians.
• Technical supervision and design in pavement, utilities, grading, site elements, and drainage.
• Client development and management including relationships, financial accounting, and responsiveness.
• Familiarity with local zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, and other design criteria.
• Manage demands of in-house and external surveying support.
• Community involvement including leadership roles in civic, technical, and professional organizations.
• Develops proposals, scopes, fees, and tracking performance.
• Development and maintenance of relationships with City departments.
• Presentations at hearings, Commissions, and Council meetings.
• Project types include Site Design for Office, Retail, Industrial, and Institutional Buildings; Residential Subdivisions; Municipal Roadway, Drainage, and Planning projects.
