Job summary

Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Boston, MA office seeks a Civil Engineer to join project teams designing site layouts, grading, and stormwater facilities, and preparing permitting and construction plans for private and public sector clients.

You will collaborate with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers, interact with clients and officials, and work through design to construction, with a hybrid schedule and opportunities for ownership and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
• 2+ years of professional engineering experience
• Engineering In Training (EIT) certification preferred
• Demonstrated experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, or Storm Sewers a plus
• Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn new skills and work in a team setting

Responsibilities

• Design permitting and construction plans for private and public sector clients.
• Create site layouts and grading plans, erosion and sedimentation controls.
• Develop storm water management facilities and site utilities.
• Interact with clients, contractors, and local government officials.
• Collaborate with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers through design to construction.
