Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our growing Mid-Atlantic engineering team. The role focuses on multi-disciplinary utilities work and land development, requiring strong leadership and client communication.

Hybrid work is available, with travel within Maryland/DC for site visits and meetings. This is an opportunity to lead projects, mentor staff, and ensure quality across our design services network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 12+ years of related experience, including 5+ years of project management.
• Experience with land development regulations is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of project execution including organization, delivery, subcontractor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and reporting.
• Grow client relationships and contracts that include complex, multi-disciplinary utility and pipeline projects.
• Lead, grow, and mentor staff—supporting career development goals.
• Oversee pursuits, allocate resources to projects, define client needs and manage engineering resources within budget.
• Lead technical, cost, and scheduling decisions for interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality and value.
