Job summary

Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to lead multi-disciplinary design projects for state agencies and large municipalities in Delaware. You will manage all project phases, from proposals to reporting, coordinating engineers, designers, and stakeholders.

The role supports a hybrid schedule with offices in Dover or New Castle, DE. The position requires a civil engineering degree, 7+ years of related experience (PE preferred or achievable within 6 months), and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
• 7+ years of related experience, 3-4 years project related experience and knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain PE within 6 months.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Duties include creating proposals, scheduling, and budgeting on energy projects.
• Interact with Client stakeholders and coordinate workload with existing design staff.
• Manage all phases of project execution including organization, subcontractor/vendor management, scheduling, financial management, health and safety stewardship, and reporting.
• Lead and participate in technical, cost, and scheduling decisions, adhering to quality standards and driving customer value.
• Oversee pursuits, designate resources, define client needs, address concerns, and manage engineering resources within budget.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external teams of clients and stakeholders.
• Collaborate on programs of design and construction management projects for continuous process improvement.
• Devise innovative and creative solutions to problems encountered.
