Job summary

The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Community Access, Bureau of Child Support Services is seeking a Child Support Case Manager (Job Classification: Child Support Recovery Officer) to join our team. This role is based in Fort Dodge with a hybrid work option after training and requires a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or three years of combined education/experience in public contact work.
• Experience in handling confidential information with discretion and integrity.
• Proven ability to analyze complex case situations and determine appropriate actions.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex case management for paternity, medical, support establishment, and order modification.
• Communicates with diverse partners (human services, employers, courts, attorneys) via phone, email and written correspondence.
• Analyzes complex cases to establish, maintain or modify support for families in-state and out-of-state.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and adapt to ICAR and other systems.
• Maintain confidentiality as required by the Code of Iowa.
