Point Blue Conservation Science seeks a Chief Financial Officer to lead financial strategy, governance, and operations for a mission-driven organization. This executive will align resources with strategic priorities and guide risk management, investment and long-range planning.

The CFO will partner with the CEO, Board, and senior leaders to ensure sustainable funding growth and fiscal resilience. This hybrid role requires onsite work in Petaluma, California two days per week and a CPA or

Qualifications

• Significant progressive financial leadership experience in nonprofit settings.
• Experience with GAAP, FASB, government grants, and audits.
• Ability to translate complex financials into clear leadership narratives.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-range financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk analysis.
• Oversee grants, contracts, and compliance across government and philanthropic funding.
• Strengthen financial systems, controls, reporting, and transparency.
