Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree with 1 year of relevant clinical experience or equivalent.
• Graduate of an approved school of dosimetry preferred.
• MDCB Certified Medical Dosimetrist preferred; certification expected within 2 years of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assists therapists with patient simulations and immobilization under supervision to ensure accurate setups.
• Develops computerized treatment plans and calculates doses for conformal, IMRT, stereotactic and forward planned patients.
• Knowledge of record and verify system and documentation for dosimetry planning and treatment delivery.
• Performs quality assurance and minor equipment maintenance related to dosimetry.
• Generates patient charges and manages supplies; orders cutouts and monitors shipping.
