Job summary

Ford Energy, a Ford Motor Company subsidiary, seeks a Battery Cell DV/PV Testing Engineer. You will execute internal DV/PV tests on battery cells, track supplier results, and perform teardown diagnostics while collaborating with design, quality, and supplier teams.

You will advance data-driven decisions for cell performance and life. You will work in a hybrid lab environment, apply test plans, and contribute to evaluating next‑generation chemistries for BESS applications, with travel to supplier

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of battery cell or battery system testing experience.
• Experience with DV/PV testing methodologies and documentation.
• Experience in teardown/ failure analysis and data reporting.

Responsibilities

• Execute DV/PV test plans on internal battery cells with emphasis on performance and life.
• Track and analyze external supplier test results and ensure alignment with requirements.
• Perform teardown analysis and coordinate with labs for failure diagnostics.
• Gather, reduce, and report test data with clear traceability to requirements.
