Job summary

ABB is seeking a procurement professional to develop and implement strategies for the Non-M Metallics category within North America. The role emphasizes cost, quality, delivery, and supplier performance, reporting to the Procurement Manager in a hybrid setup in Mebane, NC.

You will negotiate with key suppliers, manage total cost of ownership, and drive sustainability across the supply chain while collaborating with diverse cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
• Preferred experience in North American non-metallics commodities and knowledge of plastic resin materials.
• End-to-end category strategy and total cost of ownership focus.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and strong English communication.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work authorization for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement procurement strategy to optimize costs, quality, delivery, and reliability.
• Negotiate with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms and conditions.
• Identify and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Coordinate sustainability efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead category management initiatives for Non-Metallics.
