Job summary

ABB, a global leader in electrification and power distribution, seeks a seasoned procurement professional to develop and execute category strategies for the NonMetallics group in North America. You will drive cost reduction, improve supplier performance, and align sourcing with business goals.

The role requires strong negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration, with up to 25% travel domestically and internationally. Hybrid work model in Mebane, NC area is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Category Management or Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience in North American non-metallics Commodities market; knowledge of plastic resin raw materials and molding.
• End-to-end category strategies; supplier negotiations; Supplier Relationship Management processes.
• Strong cross-functional teamwork and leadership to drive change.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, and implement procurement strategy focusing on cost, quality, delivery, and reliability.
• Manage procurement activities, cost budgets, and savings forecasts.
• Negotiate agreements with main suppliers and renew price lists and terms.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
• Coordinate sustainability efforts with internal and external stakeholders.
