The Hanover Insurance Group is seeking an Adjuster PIP - Consultant Casualty Claims in Michigan. This full-time, exempt role offers a hybrid schedule with two in-office days at Howell, Southfield, or Grand Rapids locations.

You will manage moderately complex casualty claims from intake to resolution, conduct investigations, assess liability, and negotiate settlements under authority. Mentoring, training, and cross-functional collaboration are expected as part of ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 1–4 years of relevant claims handling experience.
• Ability to independently analyze contractual indemnification.
• Capable of managing indemnity, medical, and litigation/resolution tasks.
• Proficient with basic software and MS Office products.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderately complex casualty claims from intake through resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations, assess liability, and evaluate damages per procedures.
• Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and stakeholders for comprehensive evaluation.
• Identify potentially suspicious claims and refer to Special Investigations Unit.
• Set reserves, authorize payments, and communicate with claimants and third parties.
