Job summary

The Hanover Insurance Group seeks an Adjuster PIP - Consultant Casualty Claims to manage no-fault casualty claims from intake to resolution in a hybrid work setting across Michigan offices (Howell, Southfield, Grand Rapids). You will investigate, assess liability, set reserves, and negotiate settlements while collaborating with underwriting, legal, and providers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred or combination of education and experience.
• Typically has 1–4 years of relevant claims handling experience.
• Proficient with basic computer navigation; ability to use MS Office and internet.
• Ability to negotiate independently within authority and handle routine workflows.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of moderately complex casualty claims from intake through resolution.
• Conduct investigations, assess liability, and evaluate damages per procedures.
• Collaborate with underwriting, legal, and internal/external stakeholders as needed.
• Identify and refer potentially suspicious claims to SIU; apply state regulations.
• Set reserves, authorize payments, and maintain compliant documentation.
