Job summary

University of Southern California’s Employee and Labor Relations team is seeking a Case Resolution Specialist (CRS) to provide impartial consultation, conduct investigations, and resolve workplace concerns in alignment with USC policies and values.

The CRS will manage confidential interviews, document case progress, and advise leadership on appropriate resolutions while staying current with labor laws and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (business, psychology, communications, employment law, industrial relations)
• Five years of related work experience in resolving workplace disputes and investigations
• Ability to gather, organize, and synthesize information for complex issues
• Knowledge of employment laws (ADA, FMLA, NLRA)
• Experience with policy development and training initiatives

Responsibilities

• Conduct impartial, trauma-informed interviews and fact-finding meetings
• Investigate formal and informal complaints and provide timely resolutions
• Document relations cases in the case management system
• Advise leadership on performance management and disciplinary processes
• Develop outreach and training materials on resolving workplace concerns
