Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a mid to senior-level corporate associate to join our capital markets group in the United States. This role focuses on public company reporting, governance, and innovative securities offerings for issuers and underwriters.

The position is open to all US locations and offers a hybrid work environment with in-office presence. A strong background in securities law and at least four years of capital markets experience are expected.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in the state you are offic­ing.
• Minimum 4 years of public company and capital markets experience.
• Knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
• Experience with issuers, underwriters, and complex securities offerings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research to support transactions and strategy.
• Draft memos, contracts, and correspondence with high standards.
• Assist/manage complex transactions from inception to close.
• Build and maintain client relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with attorneys and professionals to develop innovative strategies.
