Aston Carter seeks a CapEx Buyer in Chesterfield, MO to support capital investment projects across manufacturing and infrastructure. You will partner with Engineering, Operations, Project Management and Strategic Sourcing to procure equipment, construction services and materials while maintaining cost competitiveness and schedule adherence.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of CapEx procurement experience, SAP proficiency, strong Excel skills, and contract management experience.

Qualifications

• 5 years of procurement experience towards capital projects (CapEx).
• Proficiency in SAP.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to create Pivot Tables and charts.
• Contract management with an understanding of legal terminology.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Supplier management, including evaluating and negotiating.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement activities for capital projects, including equipment, machinery, engineering services, construction services, maintenance projects, and site improvements.
• Manage RFQ/RFP processes, obtain competitive bids, evaluate supplier proposals, and make sourcing recommendations.
• Partner with project stakeholders to understand project scope, timelines, technical requirements, and procurement needs.
• Create and manage purchase orders while ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with suppliers to track manufacturing schedules, shipment timelines, and delivery commitments.
• Support contract negotiations related to pricing, payment terms, lead times, warranties, and supplier service agreements.
• Monitor supplier performance and proactively mitigate risks that could impact project budgets or schedules.
• Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Category Management teams to leverage preferred suppliers and negotiated agreements.
• Maintain accurate procurement documentation and reporting within ERP and procurement systems.
• Assist in identifying cost savings, cost avoidance opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and risk management activities.
• Provide regular updates to project teams regarding procurement status, delivery milestones, and potential supply chain challenges.
