Job summary

Autism Society of Minnesota (AuSM) is seeking a Camp Program Manager to oversee summer camp operations, staff supervision, and partnerships with facilities and program providers. You will coordinate hiring, training, and safety compliance while ensuring smooth program delivery for autistic campers.

Reporting to the Program Director within the Programs and Services Department, you will manage onboarding, registrations, and budget considerations, contributing to an inclusive and accessible camp

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in youth development, recreation, disability services, or autism-related functions.
• Ability to establish rapport with stakeholders and strong communication.
• Strong organization, planning, time management, and analytical skills.
• Excellent customer service and project management capabilities.
• Proficient with Mac computers and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of autism and disability community.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with On-Site Camp Directors, primarily responsible for program delivery and staff supervision.
• Coordinate partnerships with camp facilities and program partners.
• Recruit and hire qualified staff and volunteers, including interviews and offers.
• Ensure background checks and onboarding documentation are completed.
• Supervise Camp Counselors, Cabin Leaders, Camp Nurses, and other staff.
• Coordinate training and provide on-site coaching with Directors.
• Oversee enrollment, registrations, and lottery processes via Camp Brain.
• Maintain accurate records in Salesforce, Camp Brain, and other databases.
• Support safety policies and document any accidents or injuries.
