Job summary

Lochmueller Group seeks a CAD Systems Manager to lead AutoCAD Civil 3D standards, templates, and workflows across multiple states. You will standardize project deliverables, train CAD users, and mentor teams while partnering with IT on Autodesk products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, computer science, or a related field; equivalent training/experience considered.
• 10+ years CAD systems or civil design experience with Civil 3D administration and production workflows.
• Proven leadership guiding multidisciplinary design teams and CAD standards adoption.
• Experience with DOT standards across multiple states and multi-office environments.
• Experience deploying Autodesk products, licensing, and IT collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain AutoCAD and Civil 3D standards and workflows across states.
• Train and mentor CAD users; create and maintain technical documentation.
• Analyze CAD workflows and drive process improvements for efficiency.
• Collaborate with IT on upgrades, licensing, deployments, and support for Autodesk tools.
• Evaluate Autodesk products and design technologies; plan adoption and long-term support.
• Develop automation using AutoLISP, Visual LISP, or Dynamo; support production needs.
