Job summary

Lochmueller Group seeks a CAD Systems Manager to lead AutoCAD Civil 3D standards across multiple states, ensuring consistent modeling and plan production. You will train users, maintain templates, and collaborate with IT on licensing and upgrades.

A senior, multi-disciplinary role focused on design efficiency and best practices. You will help standardize DOT workflows, mentor CAD teams, and drive automation and process improvements across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, computer science, or related field.
• 10+ years of CAD systems or civil design experience with Civil 3D administration.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary design teams and adopting CAD standards.
• Proven ability to develop, document, and govern CAD standards across projects.
• Experience with software evaluations, licensing, and deployment in multi-user environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain AutoCAD/Civil 3D standards and templates across multiple states.
• Train and mentor CAD users; create and maintain technical documentation.
• Analyze CAD workflows; implement process improvements for efficiency.
• Coordinate IT upgrades, licensing, and deployment of Autodesk products and add-ins.
• Evaluate design technologies and drive adoption of new tools and workflows.
• Develop automation using AutoLISP/Visual LISP or similar languages.
