Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Building Inspector who will be responsible for enforcing the Statewide Building Code and performing inspections on various building types. This role includes effective communication with contractors and the public regarding building codes.

Qualifications

• Possession of Oregon Inspector Certification and other relevant licenses.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Enforce the Statewide Building Code through inspections.
• Communicate code requirements to contractors and public.
• Investigate non-compliance cases and report as necessary.
