Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to lead BAS design during pre‑construction and early project phases, translating owner requirements into coordinated, constructible BAS solutions for data centers and high‑rise buildings. You will work with Engineers of Record, contractors, and internal teams to resolve design challenges and deliver compliant engineering packages.

This hybrid role requires 5+ years in HVAC controls design, AutoCAD proficiency, and US work authorization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in building automation (HVAC controls) design.
• Ability to travel up to 35%.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Hybrid work model with visits to the local area office.

Responsibilities

• Lead BAS design during pre-construction and early project phases.
• Coordinate with Engineers of Record, contractors, and delivery teams to resolve design challenges.
• Identify risks early and deliver compliant engineering packages.
• Prepare design documents: mechanical layouts, electrical drawings, BOMs.
• Design BAS network architecture for Modbus, APOGEE, Desigo or BACnet.
• Mentor junior colleagues and perform QA on engineering documents.
