Job summary

Rockland Trust is seeking a Branch Operations Specialist I for a temporary assignment in Plymouth, MA. The role reports to the Branch Operations Manager and emphasizes cash vault processing, reporting, loss mitigation, and customer relations, with strong data management and analysis duties.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of teller or branch operations experience, a two-year degree (or equivalent), and a background in accounting/finance or operations.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years teller experience or equivalent branch operations related work experience.
• Two-year degree or equivalent job experience
• Accounting/Finance or Operations background preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage currency for branches, customers and remote ATMs, meeting cash ordering deadlines.
• Process daily cash vault entries and monthly reconcilement accurately.
• Record adjusting entries for currency and coin to GL and customer accounts.
• Monitor monthly Branch Operations reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Provide prompt support to branches via calls, research, and emails on procedures, research, troubleshooting, and Horizon Teller issues.
• Coordinate teller error research, handle incoming error emails, guide branches on steps, and escalate with the team.
• Assist with the monthly operational newsletter with layout and ideas submissions.
• Understand Audit and Compliance responsibilities related to daily duties and ensure processes are in place.
• Participate in committees, complete projects, and attend meetings as assigned.
• Collaborate with Deposit Operations, Branch Administration, and Customer Information Center to streamline branch workflows.
• Perform other related duties as required.
