Job summary

Guiding Stars ABA in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a BCBA/BCaBA to join a collaborative, mission-driven team. The role offers in-person/hybrid work and a pay rate of $40–$45 per hour, with schedules based on client needs.

The position includes supervising BTs/RBTs, developing individualized plans, and providing family support, with emphasis on compassionate, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• BCaBA certification required.
• Bachelor’s degree in ABA or related field.
• Experience with children on the autism spectrum or with developmental disabilities.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills.
• CPR certification; background checks may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments and diagnostic evaluations for children with autism and developmental disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualized behavior intervention and treatment plans.
• Provide one-on-one therapy and family support.
• Supervise BTs/RBTs to ensure high-quality care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create well-rounded care solutions.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation (HIPAA-compliant).
• Stay informed on current research and best practices in behavioral health.

What You’ll Do

• Active CPR Certification (we'll help you get certified if needed)
• Ability to pass a background check (required by funding sources)
• Willingness and physical ability to work directly with children (lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, sit on the floor, etc.)
