Job summary

The Wellness Pet Company is seeking a Business Intelligence Intern to work in Burlington, MA, four days a week in- person with remote Fridays. You will gain hands-on experience turning data into insights, dashboards, and reports to help the business understand customers and operations.

You will develop skills in data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT, and modern analytics tools while collaborating with cross-functional teams. This internship can lead to future BI or data analytics roles.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to query, analyze, and transform data.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, or other BI/data visualization tools.
• Exposure to Python for data analysis, automation, or data processing is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and able to communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Support development, maintenance, and enhancement of BI dashboards, reports, and data models used by cross-functional teams.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, analyze, and validate data from various sources.
• Assist with data collection, cleansing, validation, and transformation for accurate reporting.
• Gain hands-on experience with Data Warehousing concepts, including dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT processes.
• Analyze business, sales, and operational data to identify trends and translate findings into insights.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand requirements and develop data-driven reporting solutions.
• Assist in ad hoc reporting, data analysis, and BI projects, presenting findings clearly.
• Help build and maintain data pipelines and automated reporting processes.
