Job summary

The Wellness Pet Company is seeking a data analytics intern to support the development and enhancement of BI dashboards and data models. You will write SQL queries, assist with data cleansing and ETL processes, and analyze sales and operational data to translate findings into actionable insights.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, gain exposure to data governance and modern analytics tools like Power BI, Python, and Snowflake, and contribute to data-driven decision making while

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field (Analytics, CS, IS, Statistics, Math, Finance).
• Strong interest in using data to solve business problems and support decision making.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and SQL is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop BI dashboards and data models for cross-functional teams.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and validate data from multiple sources.

What Youll Accomplish

• Support the development maintenance and enhancement of Business Intelligence dashboards reports and data models used by cross functional teams
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract analyze and validate data from various data sources
• Assist with data collection cleansing validation and transformation activities to ensure accurate and reliable reporting
• Gain hands on experience with Data Warehousing concepts including dimensional modeling fact and dimension tables and ETLELT processes
• Analyze business sales and operational data to identify trends opportunities and areas for improvement translating findings into actionable insights
• Partner with stakeholders across functions to understand business requirements and help develop data driven reporting and analytics solutions
• Support ad hoc reporting data analysis and business intelligence projects presenting findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner
• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines automated processes and reporting solutions using BI and analytics tools
• Gain exposure to modern analytics technologies such as Power BI or any other visualization tool SQL Data Warehousing platforms and Python based data analysis techniques
• Learn and apply data governance data quality and reporting best practices to support enterprise analytics initiatives

Who Were Looking For Team

• Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in Business Analytics Data Analytics Computer Science Information Systems Statistics Mathematics Finance or a related field
• Strong interest in using data to solve business problems and support decision making
• Strong SQL skills with the ability to query analyze and transform data
• Basic understanding of Data Warehousing concepts including fact and dimension tables data modeling ETLELT processes and reporting structures
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and a strong interest in data analysis and visualization
• Familiarity with Power BI SQL Snowflake or other BIdata visualization tools
• Exposure to Python for data analysis automation or data processing is a plus
• Demonstrates strong analytical organizational and problem solving skills
• Can communicate complex information clearly to both technical and non technical audiences
• Comfortable working independently while also collaborating with cross functional teams
• Detail oriented and takes pride in producing accurate high quality work

The annual salary range for this position is 35 an hour based on a full time work schedule anticipated responsibilities market benchmarks and organizational equity Compensation may vary within that pay range depending on the selected candidates professional background experience operational needs and other considerations permitted by law The full compensation details will be communicated upon finalization of the employment offer and may include eligibility for participation in a bonus program LI RD1
