Job summary

Progressive is seeking a claims adjuster specialist to manage attorney represented bodily injury (BI) claims in a hybrid role in WA. You will work with a collaborative team to assess liability, coverage, and damages, negotiate with attorneys, and settle claims while building your claims career.

The position supports reporting to an office for key meetings and training about four days per month, with flexibility for more in-office work if desired, and opportunities for career growth and coaching.

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys
• Settle claims and set reserves
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents
• Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution
• Interview, collect and document information from various people such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police
