Progressive is hiring a claims adjuster specialist in Washington, with a hybrid work arrangement allowing four days per month in-office for meetings and training. The role covers attorney-represented BI claims and offers coaching from a supportive team.

The position is available to work in Spokane Valley, WA and surrounding areas. You will determine coverage and liability, negotiate with claimants or their attorneys, settle claims and set reserves, and estimate treatment costs.

Qualifications

• Must have four years of relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year in claims handling.
• Bachelor's degree and one year in claims handling.
• Requires valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Determines coverage and liability.
• Negotiate with claimants or their attorneys.
• Settle claims and set reserves.
• Estimates cost of treatment or compensation for those injured in accidents.
• Analyze and interpret medical reports, follow-up with no-fault parties, and manage claims process to ensure efficient resolution.
• Interview, collect and document information from various people such as claimants, agents/brokers, attorneys, and police.
