Job summary

Danone North America is seeking an accomplished engineering leader to manage capital projects with budgets up to $50 million across multiple factory locations in the U.S., shaping strategy and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

The role leads a team of plant engineers, interfaces with plant and corporate operations, finance, QA, R&I, and vendors, and manages design-build firms through all project phases, ensuring safety, quality, and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering discipline from accredited college or university.
• Ten+ (10) years in engineering project management required, including five (5) years in CPG beverage/food manufacturing strongly, preferred.
• Solid engineering technical base refined with extensive corporate and plant experience in particular project start-ups.
• Electrical, instrumentation and automation controls.
• Dairy processing, batching and packaging lines.
• Utilities, maintenance, building construction.
• P&IDs, Block and process flow diagrams.
• Change & Design Management.
• TPM, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing.
• PSM.
• Successfully skilled at dealing with divergent opinions within project teams and/or external resources leading to successful project implementation

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage capital projects up to $50 million across multiple factory locations facilitated through our preferred suppliers, contractors, A/E’s and integrators.
• Lead and manage a team of up to 6 engineers based in multiple factory locations.
• Interface with plant and corporate personnel across operations, marketing, QA and legal departments.
• Provide engineering leadership through all phases of projects to deliver initiatives, throughput and for quality, cost and reliability improvement.
• Manage design-build engineering firms and onsite contractors to ensure safety, quality, timeliness and minimal change orders.
• Generate estimates, write CARs, manage RFQ/RFP processes, and close out CapEx expenditures.
• Own the project execution plan and coordinate Start Up criteria from design through qualification.
