The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking a Part-Time Benefits Leaves Specialist to manage leave administration, disability, and workers’ compensation with a focus on accuracy and service. The role supports employees, managers, payroll, and vendors, and participates in HR projects across the organization.

This hybrid position allows remote work but requires regular office presence and possible visits to other worksites. A background in HR and knowledge of leave laws is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years experience in Human Resources and leaves management.
• Experience handling employee communications, payroll status changes, and vendor coordination.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and leave laws (FMLA, PFML, ADA).
• Strong analytical, written and verbal skills; professional discretion.
• BA or equivalent is strongly preferred; PHR is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet tools.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and administers employee leaves (FMLA, PFML, disability, etc.).
• Serves as liaison between employees, managers, payroll, HR, and vendors.
• Tracks cases from initiation to return to work with proper documentation.
• Maintains leave records in HRIS and ensures payroll accuracy during leaves.
• Monitors return-to-work dates, restrictions, accommodations, and duties.
• Advises managers on leave and workers' compensation processes and compliance.
• Coordinates workers' compensation claims including reporting and follow-up.
• Provides coverage in UKG, workers' comp, and LOA during vacations.
