Job summary
The Hartz Mountain Corporation in Secaucus, NJ is seeking a Senior Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery Engineer. This hybrid role will lead enterprise-wide continuity initiatives, optimize backup and recovery, and work with Windows/Linux servers, cloud, storage, and virtualization technologies to keep critical systems resilient.
You will participate in disaster recovery testing, documentation, and incident response as part of the cybersecurity team, ensuring rapid recovery from disruptions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in CS/CE or related field; 7+ years in IT infrastructure.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning, testing, backup, and restoration of enterprise systems (Veeam).
- Linux administration experience; strong networking and storage knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Lead IT business continuity and disaster recovery program development, testing, and documentation.
- Develop, test, and execute disaster recovery plans; ensure data integrity and system availability.
- Maintain Linux servers and enterprise storage; support backup, archiving, and restoration.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity to enforce security policies and incident response.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical network and infrastructure availability.
